In June we were at the Sprint/Motorola press conference introducing the Motorola Photon 4G. Although it’s very similar to the Motorola Atrix 4G on AT&T it has a lot of enterprise refinements and access to some of the Motorola Webtop accessories.
U.S. cellular says that the Motorola Electrify with it’s dual core processor will give users speeds up to 75% faster than single core phones.
The Electrify (like the Photon 4G) features a 4.3 qhd display, 8 mega-pixel camera, 16gb of memory on board and a microSD port capable of handling up to a 32gb card bringing the total storage options to 48gb which is enough to store a ton of music, movies and media for use on the go.
More after the break
“The ELECTRIFY is more than a “smart” phone,” said Edward Perez, vice president of sales and marketing operations for U.S. Cellular. “Its multi-tasking capabilities make it the perfect personal assistant for customers who depend on their smartphone to meet the ever-changing needs of their busy lifestyles. Our commitment to providing a variety of devices that enhance customers’ lives is one of the reasons consumers who switch to U.S. Cellular join the happiest customers in wireless.”
The Motorola Electrify will have access to some of Motorola’s WebTop applications and accessories including the HD docking station which will allow users to add a full screen monitor and full keyboard to the Atrix including a full version of Mozilla’s Firefox Browser. US Cellular’s Electrify doesn’t seem to have the ability to connect to the Lapdock though which is available for the Motorola Atrix 4G and the Motorola Droid Bionic (on AT&T and Verizon respectively).
They haven’t said a definitive date for release yet but it’s “Coming Soon” and will be $199 after a $100 mail in rebate on a new 2 year agreement.
