Samsung Galaxy W Headed To T-Mobile?
Last month we heard that Samsung had released new “category” letters for their Android smartphones. It seems that the first of those phones is now headed to T-Mobile USA.
The Samsung Galaxy W is supposed to be just a tier down from the Galaxy S series devices, pocketnow reports. The Samsung Galaxy W should be on the way to T-Mobile as the Samsung T679 packing Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Under the hood expect a single core 1.4ghz processor. The display is a 3.7 inch WVGA screen. There is a 5 mega-pixel camera on the back and it looks like there is a front facing camera as well.
We’d imagine that they changed the name from Samsung Galaxy W to the T679 so it could meet you in the lobby, (and the first person to get that corny joke and post the answer on twitter @thedroidguy wins 3 months free Slacker Premium)
Other reports say we should see this phone on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ (4G) network. Based on previous experience, since this phone is just now crossing the FCC desk we could see it in a month or so.
