Motorola Droid Bionic Goes On Sale Today, $100 Cheaper At Amazon

Well since January of this year we’ve been waiting on the fourth Verizon Wireless 4G/LTE Android device the Motorola Droid Bionic.  First introduced at CES in Las Vegas alongside the HTC Thunderbolt, Samsung Droid Charge and LG Revolution, The Droid Bionic has been Motorola’s most anticipated phone of the year.

After building up just as much hype earlier in the year with the Motorola Xoom, the Droid Bionic releases today for $299 with a new two year agreement from Verizon Wireless stores, however it’s just $199.99 at Amazon Wireless with the same two year agreement (link below).

More after the break
The Droid Bionic has been in the works now for 8 full months. We will tell you this though, the Droid Bionic releasing today and the one we saw at the Motorola Press Conference back at CES are two entirely different devices.  To many it seems like a Motorola Atrix / Motorola Photon 4G with 4G LTE.  It has a similar shape, similar specs and the ability to use Motorola’s custom webtop accessories.

The Motorola Droid Bionic is the first dual core phone to work with Verizon Wireless’ 4G/LTE network putting a fast device on an even faster network.  This seems like a recipe for success.  Verizon says that their 4G/LTE network gives speeds of up to 10x faster than their 3G network and speeds much faster than any other carrier’s “4G” network.

Other specs include a 1ghz dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, Android 2.3 and 1gb of PC grade RAM. This allows you to browse, get email, and download applications at “maximum speeds”.

The display is a 4.3 inch qHD display with 24 bit color and a 960×540 pixel resolution. You’ve got an 8 mega pixel camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front for video chatting over Verizon’s 3G and 4G networks.   The Droid Bionic also includes 16gb of internal memory on top of a 16gb external microSD card and of course the card slot supports up to 32gb.

Again, Amazon has it for $100 less than most other outlets. So click the link below:
