Preliminary reports on the Motorola Droid HD are that this device is thin, how thin? So thin that it belongs in the class of the Samsung Galaxy S II. It may be less than 9mm thin based on reports from Engadget this morning.
As the Google-Motorola news cycle starts to wind down, Engadget got their hands on some in the wild pics of both the Motorola Droid HD and the Motorola Droid Bionic. The Droid HD was first rumored when it started showing up in EXIF data on Flicker.com. Of course the HD name should mean 1080p and probaby 8mp camera and the photos obtained by Engadget definitely show the HD camera.
More after the break
Engadget goes on to say that the Motorola Droid HD will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and have a 4.5″ screen. With the HD in the name it’s safe to think that the Droid HD will either have the qHD display or even a resolution of 1280×720. It also features an HDMI out and of course a microUSB slot.
Another interesting thing is that this device is definitely headed to Verizon but it features a SIM slot and a microSD slot on the side which either means it’s going to be 4G/LTE or hardcore “global” .
