The HTC Bliss is the new HTC Android device that’s supposed to be geared for women.

The HTC device called the “HTC Bliss” should actually be called the HTC “Stereotype” according to a report on Androidandme.com the HTC Bliss will feature “calming” wall papers, shopping apps and calorie counters. The report also says the HTC Bliss will come in a green hue and feature a rubberized casing for a better grip.

The HTC Bliss will also have accessories specifically designed for it including a “charm indicator” which will light up if the phone gets a new call or message and has a clip designed to clip to a ladies purse.

The first of these “female friendly” enhancements has showed up on the Chinese XDA website in a variation of HTC Sense for the HTC Bliss.  Sources aren’t sure whether the pics show a variation of HTC Sense 3.0 or a new version all together.

We along with Phonearena wonder if a “targeted” smartphone is a wise move. Microsoft tried targeting social media hungry teenagers with the Microsoft Kin, which proved highly unsuccessful.  The HTC Status, which was targeted to the facebook set seems to have also been a big miss. Is the HTC Bliss headed down that same route?
