Our friends over at Android Central have been working up as much information as they can find out about the forthcoming Samsung 4G/LTE Android slider. From the looks of the photos and the description from AC’s tipster, the device looks very similar to the Samsung Epic 4G on Sprint.
When this phone hits Verizon Wireless it’s said to be coming with Android 2.3.4, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and a SuperAMOLED Plus screen. No word on what the device is rocking under the hood but even with just these preliminary specs you’re talking a beast of a phone. It’s coming at the perfect time too as Verizon Wireless has hit 100 markets with their new 4G/LTE network.
More after the break
The crew at Android Central speculates that the soft roll out for the Motorola Droid 3 is partially caused by the upcoming debut of this device. The Motorola Droid 3 was only a 3G device. Motorola is under a lot of scrutiny for not having a device currently on Verizon’s 4G/LTE network.
There’s no word on the release date or pricing of the Samsung device, or even the name at this point. Stay tuned for more and make sure you check out the source link for more photos.
