Samsung Mobile’s 2011 IFA Device, The Samsung Galaxy Q?

Last year it was all eyes on Samsung Mobile as we headed into IFA 2010 in Berlin Germany.  They were releasing the original 7″ version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab which opened up the floodgates on Android tablets coming to market.  This year, pocketnow, and other sites are reporting on Samsung’s possible IFA 2011 device dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Q.

Pocketnow is crediting etomato and juggly as their source for the story and they take it with a grain of salt however if the sources are correct, then we could be looking at an Android device wih a 5.3″ SuperAMOLED plus display. Although this device is rumored to be an Android phone it’s .3 inches bigger than the screen on the Dell Streak. As Anton Nagy asks, is this going to be the world’s largest smartphone or one of the smallest tablets.  We’re hopeful that it’s the world’s largest smartphone, as Samsung has hit a grand slam homerun with their 10.1″ Galaxy Tab.

There are no other specs available right now but with IFA less than 2 months away we can expect the rumors to ramp up quickly.  Just like last year we will be there live in Berlin to give you all the juice!

  1. I wonder why they make these huge phones? In the past we were looking to buy the smallest possible mobile phone, and now we want bigger and bigger phones. What is the point of that? If you want a bigger screen you can use a lap top…
