Motorola Working On A Quad Core Kal El Xoom Follow Up

According to tech site Fudzilla, Motorola is reportedly working on their next Android powered tablet and the source at Fudzilla has seen one in the field.  The newest Motorola tablet is reportedly a 4:3 format with a resolution of 2048×1536 which will bring images on the screen at such a high resolution you’ll almost be able t touch them (no not really but we’re talking about a brilliant screen).

The tablet is supposedly running the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android which blends Gingerbread and Honeycomb into one OS.  Google announced back at the Google I/O conference in May that Ice Cream Sandwich would be available at the end of 2011. Hopefully that means this tablet will as well.

It’s also been reported that this tablet will run on the Nvidia Tegra 3 Kal El processor which is “quad core” meaning superfast processing.

There have been some leaks of a Motorola Verizon Wireless tablet to replace the Motorola Xoom however we’re not sure the one reported by Fudzilla and the one being rumored everywhere else is the same device. Time will tell but we do know this Motorola needs to get out a tablet to replace the Xoom with great specs, that’s more light weight and with a clear upgrade path.

Being aaaa first time motorola buyer and owner of the first 3g xoom, I’m not sure I’d be willing to buy another motorola device. they cant even get their accessories to work well together. have new motorola keyboard portfolio and it won’t even work with their own docking station.
