To tell you the truth this Motorola XT316 kind of looks like the next Motorola portrait qwerty device rumored to hit Sprint shortly. The Motorola XT316 was recently released in Asia as a portrait qwerty Android device with Android 2.2 Froyo.
Motorola has announced that the Motorola XT316 will be coming to Latin America as the Motorola Spice Key and to Europe as the Motorola Fire. Unlike the original XT316, the Spice Key and the Fire are releasing with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, while Motorola has set a fall 2011 upgrade path for Motorola XT 316 users.
Features include a 2.8inch touch scree, 3MP rear facing camera, Android 2.3, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM and a microSD slot which supports up to 32gb all with a 600mhz Qualcomm processor. This phone, similar to the LG Optimus C660 is definitely not a powerhouse phone, however it may ease the transition for someone coming from a Blackberry Curve.
There is no official announcement regarding the US however a few weeks ago this Motorola portrait qwerty was reportedly headed to Sprint which could be the US version of the XT 316
