Here Comes The Gingerbread Man: T-Mobile MyTouch 4G

T-Mobile is updating their flagship MyTouch 4G to Gingerbread. This will put the MyTouch 4G and the highly anticipated MyTouch 4G Slide on the same operating system version (2.3.x) T-Mobile is starting a test group tomorrow with the update rolling out soon after.

Many T-Mobile customers who purchased the G2X are wondering about their update. We pinged T-Mobile sources officially and of course they aren’t sure however we got info from one of our T-Mobile ninjas that we are looking at late September before the G2X will see the Gingerbread Man.

Here is a quick review of what Gingerbread will mean for MyTouch 4G owners:

  • New features:
    • 2010  Exchange compatibility
    • New  version of Swype
    • Android  2.3 (Gingerbread) OS
  • Improved issues:
    • Bluetooth®  audio works better when answering a call from phone and Bluetooth is paired
    • Display  is more stable and responsive during boot up or use
    • Domestic  roaming data connection is more stable
    • Message  inbox saves
    • Various  software and stability improvements
