Best Buy Ad Shows Motorola Droid Bionic As Coming Soon!

Here are those two great words again, “Coming Soon”. We just shared a report on the Motorola Photon 4G being upgraded to a “coming soon” status in a Sprint Employee memo, now it’s a Best Buy ad and the phone is the Droid Bionic.

The Droid Bionic was originally introduced alongside the LG Revolution, HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Droid Charge at CES in January.  The device was then sent to the drawing board.  In the beginning of June, Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha told reporters at the Bank Of America, Merill Lynch Technology Conference that Motorola had issues with “network interactions and their packet stack”.  This is the reason for the delay in both the Droid Bionic and the Motorola Xoom 4G upgrade.

It looks like Motorola and Verizon are getting ready to release the Droid Bionic, at least by the fact that this advertisement is ready.  I’d say based on previous releases we are 6-8 weeks away at this point.  However if you can wait 6-8 weeks you won’t get unlimited data but you will get the first dual core 4G/LTE Android device.

Is it worth the wait?

And just a quick note I’m 90% sure this leak is good however the “Droid Bionic” logo right above “By Motorola” looks like it might possibly be photo shopped.
