Of the main things being talked about as of late has been our nation’s struggling economy. Of course, with a poor economy comes loss of jobs and price inflations, but one of the main issues for many is the prices for oil and fuel. The prices of gasoline are soaring again, and this is really a hit on US citizens who have to drive to get most places they need to go. With gas prices rising, most people are quick to find a way to save a buck here and there, and the developers of Fuel Log have stepped up to the plate.
Fuel Log is a pretty simple app to use, you can track your fill ups, other maintenance costs, and find all of the things that are costing you the most money on your vehicle. When you open the app you are brought to the home page which has the tabs: fill-ups, costs, stats, and calc. These are the main components of the app, so once you figure them out it is pretty easy to start using. At the fill-ups tab you click the option to add fillup and then input certain information like your odometer position and amount of gallons added to the tank so the application can record the data. Every time from that point on when you fill up just put in the information and the app will start to track your consumption, costs, etc.
The next tab is the costs tab. This tab is where you record maintenance costs, or any other cost you may come across. You put in information of whatever it was like the odometer, and what is was and how much it cost. This can help you track how much your car is costing per week, and per month. This all ties together in your full car costs that the application tracks over the course of using it.
The next tab is where everything comes together: stats. Stats can track just about everything you spend an hour with pen and paper doing instantly. From fuel consumption (average fuel consumption, best, worst, etc.) to accumulated costs this app gets it done. You can predict and check how much money you will spend on your vehicle from gas to maintenance. This is really helpful when it comes to budgeting and preparing for how much you’re going to spend on gas, and it can eliminate some unnecessary costs.
Fuel Log is a simple, but very useful app. You can track and eliminate costs of your vehicle, whether it be gas or other costs. It can also really help to se how your car is doing on gas mileage and how often it breaks down. The app has a smooth interface and does everything it should, and that is why I have made it this week’s App of the Week.
