We saw the Social Passport people at TechCrunch Disrupt earlier this year in New York, but didn’t get a chance to check out exactly what it is.
Today, at CE Week NY we did. Basically social passport takes all of your social media accounts and rolls them into one. You then get a QR code ID, which is yours social passport. The Social Passport QR code ID can be used on an Android Phone, iOS phone or any smartphone, a tablet, a computer, a laptop, on a dumb phone or printed out.
Social Passport plans on forming a network of merchants, and events nationwide where your social passport gets an incentive, discount or “free gift” everytime you swipe it at the location. Once you do swipe your Social Passport QR code at a merchant or event, it automatically notifies your social media feeds that you did it.
Check out the video below to see how it works and sign up at http://socialpassport.net now, it’s free.
