UPDATED!!!! Verizon Wireless Getting SGS II In July Story ERROR! It’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G

Posted on Jun 8 2011 - 2:59pm by Elijah Ketchum

July is right around the corner and the Galaxy S II has taken the rest of the world by storm, already shipping 1 million units. Dubbed by Engadget as the best smartphone to date, the Galaxy S II is a real winner, and Droid_Life has recently been tipped that we should see the device in Verizon stores as soon as July. Yes folks, July.

UPDATE: Thisismynext is reporting that there was an error in computer world’s report which we picked up via Droid-Life saying the Samsung Galaxy S II was coming to verizon next month. It’s not actually the Galaxy S II it’s the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G/LTE which in our opinion is equally worthy news.  This is not to say the Samsung Galaxy S II isn’t going to come out in July however in this particular instance it was a little early hoping.

Original Story after the break

This is the “summer’ release date that we have been hearing since CTIA, but we never actually see phones as early as they are promised. However, if correct, the Galaxy S II will be coming to Verizon in July packing its 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, dual-core 1.2 gHZ processor, 8MP camera, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread skinned by Samsung’s own TouchWiz.

As I previously mentioned , the Galaxy S II has already hit stores in Europe and the rest of the world, leaving those of us in the US to sit with our mouths watering in anticipation. Big Red is the first carrier to give us some type of guesstimate to when we will be able to get our hands on the device, whether it’s called the “Function” or not. AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile are all supposed to get a Galaxy S II of their own as well. Everyone is anxiously waiting the arrival of this device to the US, so stay tuned to TheDroidGuy for updates on the arrival of one of the best superphones of the year.
