Sprint has joined the plethora of locations where you can   purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi edition.  The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will join the Motorola Xoom in Sprint’s Wi-Fi tablet offerings.

Of course Sprint carries Wi-Fi tablets to boost sales of their Over Drive 3G/4G Mi-Fi devices.  With Sprint’s Overdrive Mi-Fi device Sprint customers can share their Wi-Fi signal with multiple people and or devices. It’s a great compliment to their existing Sprint data services. With Verizon Wireless making the switch to tiered data pricing, Sprint’s value proposition for data is the best in class right now.

More after the break

Sprint will carry both the 16gb and 32gb version of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1.  The highly acclaimed Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the thinnest, lightest and brightest 10″ tablets on the market.  It’s the first true contender in the iPad vs Android tablet war.

“Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 expands Sprint’s tablet innovation, growing our lineup to five options,” said David Owens, Sprint vice president of product development. “This gives Sprint customers a one-stop-shop for all of their tablet needs. Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a dynamic tablet, but it is even more amazing when paired with the Sprint 4G network through our OverdriveTM Pro 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Sierra Wireless or MiFi® 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Novatel.”

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 launched at Best Buy Union Square on June 8th with a performance by Grammny Award winning R&B artist, Ne-Yo.  It launched at the rest of the US Best buy stores last Friday which quickly created a shortage of 32gb Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1′s in major market Best Buy stores.

June 24th is lining up to be a super huge day for Sprint. The HTC Evo 3D and the HTC Evo View 4G are both expected to launch this Friday as well.  Earlier in the year Sprint’s CEO Dan Hesse said that 70% of their smart devices would be running the Android platform and by the looks of it they are right on track.
