HTC has reportedly upgraded the processor of the forthcoming HTC ChaCha. You may remember back to when we were in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress and brought you coverage of the HTC press event. During that event the HTC Salsa and the HTC ChaCha (in some markets Cha Cha Cha) were unveiled.
Both of these devices are Android devices running 2.3 (Gingerbread) with deep Facebook integration via a customized Facebook button on both devices and separate from the normal Android button layout.
More after the break
Although not officially announced it is believed that both of the Facebook integrated Android phones will arrive on AT&T sometime this summer or possibly early fall.
According to website ITProPortal.com the HTC ChaCha has had it’s processor upgraded from a 600mhz Qualcomm processor to an 800mhz Qualcomm processor, which as they point out is an increase of 33%. It should make it noticeably faster.
The ChaCha is the Facebook integrated candy bar style phone with a blackberry-esque keyboard below the screen. It also features 512mb of RAM, 512mb of ROM, microSD support to 32gb, 1250mah battery,WiFi, GPS, and both front and rear facing cameras.
