This summer is shaping up to be a hot one for the nation’s third largest carrier, Sprint. We were already expecting the HTC Evo 3D and the HTC Evo View 4G. Yesterday we learned that Motorola will be adding at least the Photon 4G to Spring’s postpaid lineup.
Well the news reported by our good friends (and co-media sponsors of the http://androidhomecoming.com), Brief Mobile makes the summer even hotter than that! According to the internal memo leaked by Brief Mobile, Sprint is extending their no mail in rebate trial until July 23, 2011.
Earlier this year Sprint started testing instant rebates instead of mail in rebates in hopes of retaining customers in their corporate retail locations who often opt to shop at a Sprint store and purchase at Best Buy. Best Buy doesn’t do mail in rebates on any phones with any carrier. Instead they do the rebate pricing as instant savings.
Of course there is typically the requirement that you sign up for a new two year contract.
