With Dan Hesse as the keynote speaker at CTIA this past March, Sprint extended the spotlight to two major announcements. At CTIA Sprint announced the HTC Evo View 4G and the HTC Evo 3D. The HTC Evo View 4G is Sprint’s version of the HTC Flyer, HTC’s 7″, digital pen enabled Android tablet. The HTC Evo 3D is the first legitimate follow up to the HTC Evo 4G, one of Sprint’s best selling phones of all time.
More after the break
The HTC Evo 3D (shown off in the video below) is HTC’s first glasses-less 3D Android phone. It specs out better than the LG Optimus 3D and promises a whole new experience in video. Specs include a 1.2ghz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor, 4.3″ display, WiMax (4G) support, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Although it’s a 4G enabled phone they’re not calling it the HTC Evo 3D 4G because well, that just sounds silly.
According to the image above (leaked via xda), Radio Shack is planning for a June 4th release, which is just about a year to the day after the release of the flagship Evo.
