Tablets are the in thing at the moment and most every major carrier has one version or another, but we now have a new one that has been added to the list. Rogers launched the LG Optimus Pad today on their network and joining the ranks of tablet carriers.
For roughly $450.00 and a three year contract you can own a 8.9″ tablet powered by Android Honeycomb 3.0 or if that doesn’t suite your needs you can purchase the tablet at full price for $700 but no matter which way you swing it you will have yourself an excellent tablet.
The LG Optimus Pad features a 3D LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, a dual-core 1GHz Tegra processor, 32GB of internal storage, dual 5mp rear camera and a 2mp front facing camera, and the ability to record video in 2D (1080p@24fps) and 3D (720@30fps). Not to shabby at all for a tablet. The LG Optimus Pad will also come with Maclean’s and SportsNet content in home screen widgets right out of the box.
If you have been waiting to pick up a tablet as awesome ass this one you can right now. Just head to Rogers online website and get ready for some fabulous tablet fun.
