Since the release of the Motorola Atrix back in February we have seen it go through good times and bad times. One of the biggest setbacks that we have seen was the lack of HSUPA which was finally enabled earlier this month with the 4.1.83 update. While the update had corrected a few issue, it also caused some new ones to appear. One suh issue was the inability for users to access certain banking applications like Bank of America and Chase.
Fortunately, Motorola released a fix for this issue via an application called the Atrix Certificate Updater.
An issue was discovered with the roll-out of 4.1.83 Atrix 4G software that caused some mobile banking applications to no longer work.
If you are using a mobile banking application that no longer allows you to login, this application may be able to help.
This new application is for users that have already updated to the firmware version 4.1.83 and it is fairly easy to use. If you are one that has been affected by this issue just follow the instructions below and you will be ready to go.
- Open the installed application from the application menu and follow the prompts.
- After updating the certificate you MUST reboot the device to make the new certificate work.
- The change can be revered by launching the application again.
Overall, the reports seem to be good and this is fixing the issue that many users had been noticing. So if you are an Atrix user that has been having these issues you can get the Atrix Certificate Updater via this link in the Android Market.
Good Luck and let us know how it works out for you!
