Vesterbacka said that not only can you play Angry Birds via chrome on the chrome browser but they’ve come up with a way that you can download the game locally to your hard drive and play without the need for a web connection. Vesterbacka was very excited about the Chrome Web Store only charging developers 5% and gave two great exclusives:
First there is a new set of Angry Birds “Chrome” levels which use the Chrome set of graphics and Google colors and special “chrome bombs” to clear the pigs off these exclusive Chrome levels. The other great surprise is that via in-app payments Angry Birds players can actually purchase the “Mighty Eagle” and win everything.
Angry Birds for Chrome is available now, so stop reading, go get it!
UPDATE: Vesterbacka said after keynote so try after 11am Pacific Time. He definitely said today
