Sprint Users Rejoice! Carrier Billing Now Available

Sprint users can now have their purchases in the Android Market billed directly to their Sprint account. While Verizon has yet to join in carrier billing, Sprint has fallen in line with T-Mobile who launched theirs back in ’09 and AT&T who launched their’s last year.

At this moment carrier billing is only available via the Android Market. However, many of us are wondering if we will be hearing more on Google’s rumored Music service. Their acquisition of PushLife is directly tied in with carrier billing. Time will tell.

With three carriers down and one to go, could mean Verizon may not be far behind on their announcement regarding carrier building. They sure aren’t the type of company to be left in the dust.
