Gtalk With Video On Android 2.3.4? We Could See It At I/O
Well we just contributed to the Google I/O rumor mill in our previous post suggesting that the Nexus S 4G will be the “Google I/O” phone much as the HTC Evo 4G was the I/O phone last year. Now we’re going to go ahead and pour a little fuel on that fire and suggest that the Samsung Nexus S 4G may be released with Android 2.3.4.
As we’ve seen since last years I/O Samsung has firmly implanted themselves in Google’s good graces being the OEM of choice for the follow up to the Google Nexus One. Now, the twitter user named @MAFiA303, who is allegedly employed or works with Samsung, has tweeted this:
Android Police first reported this earlier today and well, we think @MAFiA303 and Android Police are right on the money.

I just fixed my Hero and was thinking about putting off getting the Nexus S 4G. And on that bombshell…
It would be awesome if it was the HTC EVO 3D.
@ Sahas Katta I think 3D is a bit of a novelty, I’ve played with the 3DS, and it’s draw wears quickly. Samsung has been making a lot of noise with the Galaxy S line in 2011, so this can only further that momentum. Devices aside, I feel that Qik is the platform that will suffer; or be brought to prominence in a feature war with Google. Only time will tell.
My money is on the White AT&T Nexus S 4G. Since the Sprint Nexus S 4G is already announced and basically days away from release…it doesn’t make sense they would pick that as their phone. Why not the upcoming Nexus S 4G for AT&T that is still unconfirmed.
I think there won’t be a phone given out. If anything it’ll be a tablet.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, not another CDMA phone!
All this means I bet is that video calling will be supported in the new gtalk/gmail apps on devices with front facing cameras.
Nice! i hope we get this update soon.
