Accessory Spotlight: Plantronics Voyager Pro+

As far as bluetooth headsets go, there are a ton of great ones to choose from. It just all depends on what you are looking for. The Plantronics Voyager Pro+ is great because of it’s battery life.

I decided to test this one on a road trip with it connected to my primary phone using GPS. This headset made it through a 12 hour drive without dying. For me this was really impressive so I decided to test it a little further. While spend 3 Days of being away from chargers other than at night I wore this headset from 11AM until about 2AM. I only had to charge this headset once in that 3 days. That is with streaming music, making phone calls and using GPS all day long.

It is quoted at having 6 hours of talk time and 6 days of standby time. If you are looking for battery life without losing features this is the way to go. It completely supports AD2P, and has 2 microphone noise cancellation with audioiQ2 technology, and comes with Plantronics Vocalyst for one year for free. The MSR of this headset is $99.99 which is not bad at all for what you are getting.

  1. Yup, I can attest to the longevity of this device, albeit in it’s predecessor, the non-plus version. And Plantings customer support is second to none. They offered to replace just about every device I’ve bought from them without any hassle. Great post-sale service is a rare thing these days and that’s what you get when you go with Plantronics. Okay, enough with the infomercial B.S.
