We met with Slacker radio extensively at CTIA and guess what all you Android loving sports fans, Slacker Radio is partnering with ESPN to offer the ability to stay up to date on your favorite sports teams with the ESPN Channel. You can now listen to the full ESPN programming. You also have the option to customize your listening experience by using Slacker’s content search.

The Slacker ESPN partnership will offer three unique ways of featuring ESPN content as part of your Slacker Radio experience. The first of course is the ESPN channel chock full of ESPN programming.  The next way allows you to flag ESPN content the way you would an artist or song title. The third is the most exciting.

Soon Slacker Radio and ESPN will offer you the ability to customize your content to the “t” you’ll be able to create your own Slacker ESPN radio station with content from your favorite sport, or team and mix them up whatever way you want. Imagine watching ESPN Sports Center and them kicking the show off every time with only the news from your favorite sport or team. That’s a reality coming soon from ESPN and Slacker Radio.

Slacker to Deliver Personalized ESPN Sports Coverage on Slacker Radio

Customizable ESPN Audio Content to be Available on Slacker on the Web, Smartphones and In-Home Devices

SAN DIEGO – March 23, 2011 – Slacker, Inc. today announced that ESPN Audio content will be available on Slacker Personal Radio, providing listeners with customizable content from the country’s largest sports radio network.

Slacker listeners will have access to an interactive dedicated station covering all facets of sports entertainment, with the option to include ESPN SportsCenter headlines for hourly updates on any Slacker music station, and the ability to create custom sports stations with ESPN Radio programming.

ESPN on Slacker Radio will feature up-to-the-minute coverage of all major sporting events and top news stories on both a national and regional level. The interactive ESPN Radio station will also offer access to content from multiple ESPN programs and platforms, including Mike & Mike in the Morning, SportsCenter, The Herd with Colin Cowherd and more.

With the addition of sports coverage to this line-up, Slacker Radio will offer a fully customizable and personal online radio experience that includes the most varied and compelling range of content offered by any Internet radio service.
