Well, it sounds like Google and LG may be teaming up for a Google tablet that could be released later on this year.
According to information found on a Russian blog Google may be looking to create the first pure Android Nexus Tablet with LG that will follow along with the Nexus One (HTC) and the Nexus S (Samsung). This rumored tablet would more than likely run a clean version of Honeycomb, Android 3.0, and would be free of third-party software like Blur and Sense.
Besides rumor, not much else is known regarding this Google/LG tablet. If it does actually exist we could see it released as early as mid summer and will be a big step for LG, even though rumor is that they were not Google’s first choice but were the ones to agree to Google’s terms. Other manufactures like Motorola and HTC have already stepped in to the tablet game full force with tablets like the Motorola Xoom and EVO View 4G, so the release of a pure Google tablet will have some cause for competition and bring LG into the tablet game which would greatly help them.
As soon as we dig up more information regarding this rumored “Google Tablet” we will be sure to let you loyal readers know. While we wait patiently, what are your thought on a pure Android tablet?
