At one point or another this 4″ phone by Viewsonic was called a tablet. It is in fact a smartphone. It features a 4.1″ WVGA display, wi-fi, 5mp rear facing camera, VGA front facing camera, mini HDMI port and a 1ghz Qualcomm processor.
The Viewpad 4 was originally supposed to ship with Android 2.2 Froyo however it was released today and said Android 2.4, Gingerbread. According to Viewsonic 2.4 is the next version of Gingerbread which allows some Honeycomb functionality.
We were thrown a loop Tuesday morning when HTC reported that the HTC Flyer was also running 2.4.
