Stock Gingerbread Rom Shows Up for DROID

Posted on Feb 11 2011 - 9:58am by Elijah Ketchum

For those of you original Droid owners, like myself, who are wanting a taste of Gingerbread, we or should I say Peter Alfonso (Bugless Beast) has got you covered. There have been a ton of roms released claiming Gingerbread, and many are just Froyo with a Gingerbread launcher and icons. This new rom from Peter Alfonso is a whole different story. This rom was taken and built right from 2.3.2, and is a clean vanilla android Gingerbread experience. He stated on his site that he has modified some things to his liking, but from my experience with the rom this is nothing negative my friends. A real Gingerbread rom has come to the OG Droid at last! Visit Pete’s site here for the download link and some more info.

As with any ROM post proceed at your own risk, neither TDG, the writer nor the developer who made the ROM or the host are responsible should you brick your phone.
