LG Optimus Pad/G-Slate Promo Video Shows Up

Posted on Feb 8 2011 - 7:45am by Kyle

The Xoom by Motorola was definitely the takeaway hit for CES 2011 in January in Las Vegas.  Who would have thought that LG would have the takeaway hit for MWC.  We can’t declare The LG Optimus Pad/G-Slate the big winner yet, afterall there are thousands of products to see, but we are confident when MWC finishes up at the end of next week the LG Optimus Pad/G-Slate will have had an impressive showing.

Features:

Honeycomb (Android 3.0)
NVIDIA Tegra 2 Processor
8.9″ HD 3D Display
32gb Internal Memory
Video Recording in HD and 3D
Dual Camera (HD Camera on back and a FF Camera)
HDMI Out
DLNA Support

Beautiful huh?

Well the LG Optimus Pad/G-Slate has been “seen” in two leaked videos on Youtube, now it gets all it’s own Youtube glory.

MWC press fun starts this weekend and we will have all the fun stuff to bring you.  Stay tuned!

Are you looking forward to the LG G-Slate/Optimus Pad

How do those specs confirm it as a Xoom killer? Pretty much the same but with the 3D gimmick.

Interesting that they included a 3D camera setup, without a way to display those pictures. This would have been news if it had naked-eye 3D display and could playback 3D movies, for under $1k.

Here’s hoping for an under $799 price point. :/

EDIT: Oh. It says in the specs it has an HD 3D display. Oh snap. In that case this tablet is awesome! I always knew that a 3D tablet was only a matter of time. Never thought it would come so soon.

I love it and can’t wait for it to come out.

The 3D display will require glasses, though. I am definitely still impressed by the device, and the fact that it’s on tmobile may make it the tablet I get, but the glasses and smaller screen size are negative points to me :(

Oh I didn’t catch that. Neat tech, but I hate glasses for 3D. I guess it would help keep the price down. Glasses is a dealbreaker though
