The HTC Evo shift is the third handset on the Sprint 4G network. With their combination of 4G connected net books, mifi devices, and a new mifi device introduced today, Sprint now has 17 4G/Wimax devices.
Dan Hesse said
“Sprint will continue to set the bar for feature-rich and customer-friendly 4G devices into 2011,”… “Our proven leadership as a 4G pioneer has allowed our customers to enjoy 4G from Sprint first, and these new products exemplify Sprint’s commitment to put industry-leading performance and capabilities in the hands of our customers.”
As for the HTC Evo shift it features a slide out qwerty keyboard along with;
720p HD Video Camera
Sprint Mobile Hot Spot
3.6″ capacitive touch screen in addition to all the features you would expect from an Android device running Android 2.2 Froyo.
Sprint continues to offer unlimited 4G network access with no data caps. Customers who sign up for Sprint’s “Everything Data plan with Any Mobile Any Time” for $69.99 with the $10 premium data add on, will enjoy Sprint’s 4G/Wimax without worrying about downloads and gigabytes. Both Verizon and AT&T have abandoned the unlimited model. Sprint’s CEO, Dan Hesse, has said that the unlimited Sprint plan is here to stay, at least for a while.
The HTC Evo Shift will be available starting January 9th for $149.99 after a mail in rebate. Radio Shack had an ad leaked out that reflectd the same price and date.
