AT&T Makes Room For New 4G Androids; Backflip And Xperia X10 Out

Android has been on AT&T for roughly a year now. Android debuted on the nations second largest wireless carrier with the Motorola Backflip.

Well on February 2, 2011, according to an Android Central tipster, the Backflip flips out of AT&Ts inventory.

Many sites have been very critical of the Motorola Backflips form factor, motoblur and Android 1.6. It didn’t seem to catch on the way other devices at other carriers have.

The Sony Xperia X10 was plagued with a delayed release and a crippled Operating system which for some has still not been updated.

Motorola made a big splash at CES here in Las Vegas, when they announced Tuesday morning that they were releasing the Motorola Atrix 4G.  The Atrix should be released withing the next 6-8 weeks and has been billed by both AT&T and Motorola as the World’s Most Powerful Smartphone.

As for Sony, nothing has been confirmed yet at CES however we can hope that the Sony Erickson Xperia Play may head to Big Orange, after all they are known for rethinking possible.
