Korea’s Samsung has announced that they’ve sold 2 million Galaxy S phones in their native country, since launching about 6 months ago. They have also announced they’ve sold 9.3 million Galaxy S phones worldwide and are on pace to meet a goal of 10 million before the end of the year.
Although the iPhone seems to be popular in Asia, in South Korea they have only sold 1.8 million iPhones since the iPhone was introduced in that country in November 2009 (yes over a year ago)
Samsung Mobile’s Galaxy S line and Galaxy Tab line feature Samsung’s own fast 1ghz hummingbird processor. The Galaxy S line features the bright feature rich superAMOLED screens which is a combination that can’t really be reckoned with. Last Thursday Samsung rolled out the Samsung Nexus S in conjunction with Google and Best Buy. The Nexus S has many of the same hardware features as the Galaxy S line, while also featuring vanilla Android and Gingerbread.
