The official Googlenexus twitter account tweeted today that:
On Friday Google began distributing the Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” source code to the Android Open Source Project. Hours later Android 2.3 roms began surfacing for everything under the sun, including a bunch for the Nexus One. In fact over the weekend Steve Kondik (@cyanogen) tweeted that he was running Gingerbread on his T-Mobile G2.
Now apparently Google is trying to catch up. Their tweet was rather vague is you see above but it’s good to know that they will do an OTA update soon.
