If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the Droid Pro, the next installment in the legacy of Motorola “Droid” branded Android devices on Verizon wireless, wait no more. The Droid Pro will be available for pre-order on November 9th (next Tuesday) and available for retail purchase November 18th.
The Droid Pro combines the latest in available Android technlogy with a “blackberryesque” form factor. Although Motorola brought Android to a Blackberry style phone on T-Mobile with the Charm, consumers will like the more high end feel and features packed in the Droid Pro.
As we also reported back in October, via the video below, the Droid 2 brings native Google search back to Verizon’s Android line up. We feel that the Motorola “Droid” branded devices will be the only devices on Verizon Wireless that will offer the Google search as default, but that’s a different story.
In the internal document leaked to Androidcentral yesterday the dates and policies for pre-order are outlined. Also in the second picture it shows that the Droid Pro will not be available in Pennsylvania or Massechusettes at Verizon retail locations. We are not sure why.
At an event in September 2010 Verizon Wireless’ Howie Waterman revealed that they have 20 devices to release between that date and the end of the year. As you can see they are well on their way.
Are you getting a Droid Pro? Why can’t they sell it in PA or MA?
