PopCap bringing Plants Vs Zombies and More to Android

At the recent Windows Phone 7 launch PopCap announced that some of their more popular titles would be ported over to the new Microsoft mobile OS. Wait! What happened to their promise that PopCap would bring their games to Android?

Well, the wait is over, PopCap has announced they are bringing over two of their most popular games; Peggle and Plants vs Zombie’s to Android in the first quarter of 2011. No word yet on whether  Thedroidguy’s favorite PopCap title “Book Worm” will make it over.

Sameer Baroova, Development Director at PopCap, revealed in an interview with “I am delighted to confirm that we are working on bringing both Peggle and Plants vs Zombies to Android in early 2011,” he said.

PopCap joins both Zynga and Rovio who are now also bringing their hit titles to Android.
