JCPenney Gears up for the Holidays With Mobile Focus



Just in time for Black Friday JCPenney has ramped up their Mobile World presence. JC Penney has seen the positive results that major retail chains are receiving via their mobile experience.  Target for instance ramped up their mobile site and added an Android app earlier this year that allows users to be more interactive.

In addition to their improved mobile site JC Penney has added and enhanced their Android app. The original version of the Android app allowed JCPenney customers to find their local store via GPS, view the weekly sales circular, create a portable shopping list, add items to favorites and sign up for mobile coupons.

JCPenney has updated their mobile apps across iPhone, iPad and Android to include the ability to make purchases from their devices and access their rewards account.  When users of the mobile app use the app to access their rewards card they will find a $10 rewards coupon in their account just for using the app.

JCPenney is also getting interactive with check-in based offers. When JCPenney customers check in via Foursquare, Brightkite orFacebook they will receive a $10 off a $50 purchase delivered to their phone.
