BANNED: Apple Bans Android Magazine from App Store

Fresh on the heels of Apple approving an anti-gay app, Cupertino has flexed it’s proverbial muscle and bans an e-magazine app about Android by a Danish publisher.

Despite giving the green light to the Manhattan Declaration Apple’s developer relations informed the publisher of the Android Magazine app, Mediaprovider;”You know… your magazine,” replied the Apple rep, who identified himself only as Richard. “It’s just about Android…. we can’t have that in our App Store.”

Mediaprovider, has an iPhone magazine app already in the store, so in the interest of mobile technology, they added their Android magazine as well. They launched the Android magazine app on November 11.

Mediaprovider’s CEO Brian Dixon told Mediawatch of Denmark: “It’s funny really because I don’t think we would sell many magazines on Android through Apple App Store,” “But the question is where this is going.”
