Motorola and Verizon are keeping to their guns with the Droid franchise on AndroidOS, and releasing the Droid 2. Images and leaks of the device have been scattered about, but very little in hard evidence. All that changed with some critical information coming out regarding the successor to the indomitable Droid, the Droid 2.
There are still way to many people in love with their physical keyboard to do away with it entirely. The Droid was the first “big screened” Android phone with a keyboard, and with the exception of the soon-to-be released Epic 4G by Samsung, it had reigned on high as the only real choice for keyboard lovers. Nolonger, as it’s younger, thinner, better looking brother has turned up.
This full page newspaper article and a promise from Best Buy of an Aug. 12 Launch has me pretty excited. With the Droid on it’s way out Verizon users needed that keyboard option, and now they have it!
