FBR Capital announced that it is maintaining it’s outperform rating for Sprint (S) in their analysis posted before the bell today.
Sprint will announce their 2nd quarter results on July 28, 2010 of course the HTC EVO launch is expected to carry some weight as a contributing factor in their 2Q results however, FBR suggests that Verizon (VZ) “Focus shift to android” and Sprint’s being “Particularly well positioned with RIM” are reasons to maintain the “Outperform” status.
It’s clear that Sprint is doing better than expected and will continue to flourish as they are currently the only carrier offering any kind of 4G experience but give credit to where credit is due, HTC, Android, and 4G. I haven’t been to a Sprint store and heard a Sprint employee say a word about Blackberry it’s all been EVO EVO EVO this quarter.
